The spool beside the printer
For a spool that is used often, choose a bag with enough opening clearance for repeated packing and removal. Keep the sealing clip and the selected pump close to the storage area.
Keep the spool you have opened ready for the next print. Pack spare colours separately and organise them beside the printer or on a storage shelf, so changing materials starts with finding the right spool.
Choose the bag around the spool diameter and width, leaving clear space at the zipper. Bags can be combined with a compact or tall pump, sealing clips and packaging to suit the kit you want to purchase.
Storage bags do not replace filament drying. Dry damp filament separately using the material supplier’s instructions.
Plan for both the spool currently in use and the spare materials waiting on the shelf. Bag size and kit contents should follow that routine.

Separate spare spools by colour or material instead of placing several loose spools together. Check the diameter and width of each spool before choosing a common bag size for a kit.
These views show individual spools, grouped storage and kit arrangements in a printing workspace. Choose the bags and accessories for the spools you actually use.

Start with spool dimensions, then compare the bag construction and pump options listed here. The weight printed on a spool is not a reliable measure of its outer size.
| White-valve bag sizes | 30 × 34 cm / 33 × 37 cm |
|---|---|
| White-valve bag construction | Flat bag; double-track zipper, no permanent slider; separate sealing clip |
| Pump options | Select a compact or tall pump for your kit |
| Filament accessories | Desiccant supplied with filament bags; quantities vary by kit |
Include spool diameter, width and the number of bags and pumps required when asking about a kit. Desiccant is supplied with filament bags; its quantity and the remaining kit contents depend on the selected order.
Choose one pump option, then select bag sizes and accessories.

The bag is for storing filament between print jobs. If the material has already absorbed moisture, use a separate drying process appropriate for that material before printing; evacuation is not a drying specification.
Tell us the spool dimensions, bag quantity, preferred compact or tall pump and packaging requirements. Sealing clips, desiccant and the number of pumps can then be arranged around the kit rather than inferred from a photograph.
Send the spool diameter, width and required quantity. Include your pump preference and packaging idea if you already have one.
